The Ellis School is a private K-12 all-girl's school in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. It occupies a prominent position next to Mellon Park along Fifth Avenue, one of Pittsburgh's major thoroughfares. Unfortunately, the school's arts and STEM classrooms are aging and in need of an overhaul. The Ellis STEAMbox, a standalone addition to the school, addresses this problem by creating a teaching and learning laboratory for STEM and arts education - the building itself becomes a teaching tool.
